the indian 'rasoi'

The Indian kitchen, or ‘rasoi’, is a vivid reflection of the staples in my home. It’s where lentils (dal) are delicately tempered with a fiery blend of ghee, cumin, and red chilies, accompanied by a zesty green chutney. Most importantly, it’s the gathering place, or ‘adda’, where everyone comes together over steaming cups of chai and an assortment of snacks.
Food stylist Olivia and I teamed up for a test shoot to vividly capture these elements right in my kitchen.
